Johor Bahru Cafe Hopping Trip (Part 1)
Johor is really popular for their cafe. they have some unique, pretty, and photogenic places. So we decided to go to Malaysia, Johor Bahru because we want to see the cafe over there.
Our first stop was a minimalist cafe, The Replacement Lodge & Kitchen. The place was nice, they put a lot of decoration to make their place become so much prettier.
We were lucky enough to arrive to this super famous cafe in the right time, because there were only several people in the cafe by that time. We also still able to choose our own seat as I need a nice bright place to take a photo. Well actually, this place is bright in all of their sit, so don’t worry about that. And what is quite surprising was when we finished our meal and headed out, there were people queuing outside this place.
After we sit, we ordered our food. We tried their B&B French Toast, Soft Shell Crab Bao With Fries, and ordered their special drinks Pina Colada Tea.
Oh I am in love with the B&B French Toast. they sprinkle the banana with sugar and torched it. The ice cream is super light and not so sweet. Not to mention, the French Toast is super crispy on the outside.
As I’m don’t like a lot of sauce (yes I personally don’t like mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, wasabi, or anything), I didn’t like the sauce that they served with Crab Bao. But, all the other people who come with me (my sister and her friend) love it very much, so yes it is supposed to be good. Moving to the french fries that they served is nicely fried, I ate almost all of them by myself. And the burger itself is delicious. The crab is super crispy, while the bread is soft and light. So all of the element in this plate is complimenting each other.
Lastly the Pina Colada Tea. They said that this tea is inspired by alcohol. the tea itself was served hot in a heavy pot. I think the smell of the tea is sweet, like a bubble gum to be honest. The taste is light and just as they mentioned, this tea is caffeine free. I liked the color as it is a light pink. cute 🙂
So this is my part one of my trip in Johor. Have a nice day!
